Holiday Party December 2008

As you know, we have been having our Christmas/Holiday Party at the Sheraton Columbia Town Center for many years. Each time there has been a change, we have made the transition. This past party was excellent. The Banquet Captain, Julie was on her game. She responded to our every need while keeping a fresh attitude and perfect smile. Her overall performance should be considered the benchmark.

As for our bartender, Ms. Sandra Mendoza-what can I say? She was perfect. Her smile and her constant professionalism was a contribution to the successful occasion.

On behalf of J. Edward Hamel, Hamel Builder's Staff, and myself, I want to thank you for everyone's efforts.

Celebration of Life Remission Party

I wanted to tell you that the party on Saturday was out of this world. Simply phenomenal and folks are still talking about how much fun they had!!!

The music was great, the food was scrumptious, the setting was awesome and the mood was just right. Michael was incredibly touched and moved by the entire affair and although it wasn’t a surprise party, he was truly surprised by the speeches and expressions of love shown during the party.

I can’t thank you both enough for all of your stellar customer service, your terrific attention to detail, your unyielding commitment to excellence and your constant level of support, patience, encouragement and guidance exhibited to me over these last several months. Your entire team deserves kudos for a job well done and Giles is simply outstanding as well.

He was incredibly professional, warm, precise and reliable during the party and his staff made sure that all of our guests were treated with top notch service for the entire evening.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for an incredibly touching and perfect event and I am grateful for all of your help in making my dream come true!

Corporate Meeting

Dear Ellen,
Our Senior Manager leadership Series and Corporate Office Holiday events held in December 2008 at the Sheraton Town Center Hotel was extremely successful in large part due to the outstanding service provided by you and your staff.

I want to personally thank you for all your help and excellent service during these two major events. We appreciate Sheraton Columbia Town Center making our events seamless for MedStar Health assoicates.

The attention to detail was also outstanding, including the set-up for the lunch meeting with the MedStar Executive Communicator Council while ensuring that it did not interfere with the coordination and progress of the Senior Manager meeting.

The Holiday party the following day was also a great occasion for our assoicates as they raved estatically about their experience. We appreciate the festive and decorative set-up of the room, and the exquisite menu items that played to our senses. In addition, Chef Kenny Johnson took our choices to another level.

Mr. Aydin,I just wanted to send you a brief email expressing my pleasure and gratitude over the fantastic job your employees performed to make my daughter and new son-in-law's wedding a dream come true. What actually started out as a joke, became the perfect wedding!! My daughter said she always dreamed of having a wedding "on the water". I was kidding when I said Lake Kittamaquandi was water. But she said that would be perfect because there is a hotel right there and it is close to home. We went the next day to talk to Ellen Budd and never looked any further!! Ellen was a joy to work with and the Columbia Sheraton was the perfect place for a beautiful wedding. Bethe and Lauren helped secure rooms for our out of town guests and Julie made the actual event stress free. Bat Mitzvah Thank You Letter

"A Bat Mitzvah service takes years of hard work and study to acheive and when it's over, it is great to be able to celebrate with your family and friends. Your staff took celebration, customer service and attention to detail to a new level. It all starts with your Director of Catering, Sandy Kareskie. She was with me through my son's Bar Mitzvah and ensured my daughter's Bat Mitzvah was the toast of the town. I want to note some key points of the party that deserved to be mentioned.

• Delectable Menu - Sandy introduced us to your new chef, Kenny Johnson. What a find you have in him! The dinner was beautifully presented with the tenderloin-pin, the aspargus dressed in carrot and the sweet potatoes so scrumptious. The crowd raved about the lamb chops and ahi tuna. Mr. Johnson listened to our requests and made the food a delictable reality.
• Spectacular Dessert - Sandy worked with us to design a dessert that made all our guests feel that they received an academy award - literally in chocolate. Our 8" chocolate Oscars surrounded with desserts was the ultimate. Not only did it look good, but tasted amazing. Ms. Kareskie understands, listened to every detail and executed flawlessly.
• Decor - The room was decorated so spectacularly, from the centerpieces to the candles, to the poster and lights in the alcove, to the chair covers to the beautiful pink bows. Our guests could not believe how gorgeous the room looked. Sandy mentioned that a picture was going on your website. A special thank you for everyone involved in the room set-up.

Happy times are meant to be celebrated with family and friends - and part of my extended family is the Sheraton Hotel in Columbia - a place--due to its people - I hope to share many, many happy occassions. My family, friends and I will spread the word about our memorable celebration at the Sheraton in Columbia. Thank you again."
